Mittelsteadt, Carol A. of Bloomington and Richfield, passed away on March 23, 2020. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Carol joins Bernie, her beloved husband of over 50 years, in heaven. She is survived by her two children, John Mittelsteadt (Lisa) and Ann Tillotson (Chris). She was grandmother to 5 boys, Marcus, Michael and Matthew Mittelsteadt and Max and Jack Tillotson, whom she loved dearly. Carol was a graduate of Waterville High School. She graduated from Mankato State University and then pursued her master's degree in English at the University of Minnesota. She started her teaching career in Le Center and later taught English and Drama at Wayzata High School. Carol was actively involved in her Richfield community, politics and church. Her best times were spent playing duplicate bridge, attending her grandsons' school events, enjoying time with family, and cheering for the Minnesota Gophers. In light of the current environment, a private family service will be held. A celebration of life has been deferred at this time. Please direct memorials to the Animal Humane Society.
