Larson, Elden R. Age 91, formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully March 15, 2020 with family at his side. He was born in Spring Grove, MN to Emil and Ruth. Elden is survived by his children, Keith (Gwen), Kathee (Dan) Douville, Dave (Laura) and Scott (Elda); and grandchildren, Kristin (Travis) Heppner, Jeff, Ellen (Nate) Hughes, Andrea (Nick), Owen, and Ethan; siblings, Neil, Judy (Lawrence) Fruechte, and Joan (Steve) Eynard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle, parents, and brothers Orlin and Duane. He served in the US Air Force prior to a 40-year career in electrical engineering. Elden loved his family and enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren. He was born and raised Lutheran but lived his life with Myrtle and his children as a Catholic. Elden was proud of his Norwegian heritage, researched his family genealogy, and visited Norway numerous times. He enjoyed the great outdoors with camping, fishing, hunting and traveling, and was an avid do-it- yourselfer. Elden was a Freemason, a Past Master, and also a member of the National Sojourners' Heroes of '76 organization, where he shared his love of country and flag at many public ceremonies and youth events. Mass of Christian Burial limited to immediate family. Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Alzheimer's Association or MN Masonic Charities.
