Matthew Blair Richmann

Richmann, Matthew Blair age 41 passed away after a courageous battle with Colon Cancer on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born on March 25, 1978 in Anoka, MN to Daniel and Judith (Blair) Richmann. He was a 1996 graduate of Anoka High School. He continued his education at Texas Christian University, receiving his bachelors degree in International Communication, with a minor in business and Japanese. Matt married his childhood sweetheart, Melissa Almquist, on May 2, 2010 in Captiva Island, Florida. They raised 4 beautiful children. After college, Matt began a 12 year career at Pfizer, rising through the organization and becoming a Key Account Manager. Matt was consistently recognized for his performance and leadership. Most recently, Matt spent 4 years at IBM helping transform and grow an emerging business unit. Though he was always a top performer, Matt was most proud of the impact he made on the people he worked with. Matt's passion went beyond his work. He loved his family, ministry in his church, and traveling. He loved people, and wanted to empower and help people within his community. He served on the board for Outbound Life, volunteered with Athletes in Action and New Creation Baptist Church. Matt took every opportunity to glorify the Lord for the blessings in his life, and gave of his time, talents and finances to help others see their dreams realized. Survived by his loving wife of 9 years Melissa Richmann, children Carson Steven (20), Benjamin Blair (8), John William (7) and Julia Sophia (5). Brother Jacob (Elyse) Richmann. Parents Daniel Richmann and Judy (Blair) Richmann and many other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11AM with visitation starting at 9AM on Friday, March 6th at Living Word Christian Center, 9201 75th Ave N, Brooklyn Park.
