Patricia June (Griffith) Campbell

Campbell, Patricia June (Griffith) 85, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 8, 2020. Preceded in death by Donald, her loving husband of 58 years. Beloved mother of Stuart Campbell (Diane) and daughter, Susan Campbell Content (Thomas); grandmother of Ryan, Lauren and Grace Campbell, and Adelie and Vivienne Content. Also survived by brother-in-law Bill (Carol) Campbell, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends among the residents and staff at Founders Ridge in Bloomington and Optage. Daughter of the late June C. Gale and John K. Robinson, she was also preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Leafy Vivian (William) Conley. Born in Syracuse, N.Y. on Aug. 31, 1934, she was a graduate of Wabasha High School and the University of Minnesota, where she majored in English and minored in philosophy. The latter fueled a fierce and questioning intellect. She and Don, an attorney, lived in Minneapolis and then Minnetonka. Beauty followed her, always. A lover of books, bridge clubs and Bach, she was also an ardent and spirited fan of Grand Marais, gardening and Golden Gophers football. Pat cherished her family most of all. She is dearly remembered for her deep insight and knowledge, her unrestrained laughter, and her joyful leading of Pooh Sticks games with her children and grandchildren. Pat treasured plants, trees and all things growing. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Minnesota's Superior National Forest with a donation in her memory to: Superior National Forest/USDA Forest Service, PLANT-A-TREE, 8901 Grand Avenue Place, Duluth, MN 55808. A private family service will be held. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
