Faillettaz, Vernon Pierre Professor Emeritus of Religion at St. Olaf College, died Sunday, January 19, 2020 at age 91. Vern earned his MDiv from Luther Seminary in St. Paul and joined the religion department at St. Olaf College in 1962. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Billi (Stromseth); son, Pierre of Mpls; daughter, Lise of Nfld; son, Marc of Mpls; and grandson, James. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pierre H. S. & Lelah Josephine (Larson) Failettaz and his son-in-law, Kurt Peters. Services will be 2:00PM, Friday (1/31/2020) at St. John's Lutheran Church, 500 W. 3rd St., Nfld. Visitation will be one hour prior and a reception will follow.
