Hoff, LaVern Age 92, of St. Louis Park, MN passed away peacefully on December 19th, 2019, he is survived by his children Margo (Jeff) Kramer and Junie Hoff-Golmen, grandchildren Michael & Joshua Hartung, Rachel (Joe) Riska, Morgan & Olivia Hoff- Golmen, great granddaughters Kayla & Emma Soderlund-Hartung, sister Mildred Baumgartner, and many beloved family and friends mourn the loss of this gentle and caring man. LaVern was preceded in death by his wife Ethel (Anderson) Hoff, parents John & Esther (Haas) Hoff, brother Harvey Hoff, Marcella Hoffman, Arlene Hoff, JoAnn Carlson, and son-in-law Greg Golmen. On December 27, 2019 at Spirit of Christ Community Lutheran Church, 5801 Minnetonka Blvd, St. Louis Park, MN we will honor this kind and loving soul to Jesus Christ with a visitation from 10-11, and funeral service at 11 am. Vern was a man who had an endless energy for his family who he cherished most. He treated friends like family and strangers like friends. He served this great country with pride, and had a long successful career with Jefferson Lines. In retirement he enjoyed repairing small engines, and building wooden toys with the Lenox Community Center. Vern's passion for helping others never left him. So much so, at his last residence they gave him the honorary title of Resident Handyman. We now wish to thank him, who always put everyone else first while teaching us the priceless gift of caring and touching the hearts of everyone we met.
