Grace Margean (Stork) Erickson

Erickson, Grace Margean (Stork) beloved mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on December 12, 2019. Grace was born to N. Clinton Stork and Meda Dyson Stork on May 23, 1925. Grace was spunky, life-loving, and a devout Christian. She radiated joy and love. Family and friends felt embraced by her. Her creative presence shined through her love of music, visual art, and poetry. She had an adventurous spirit. She and her husband Gene traveled the world over. Her warm open acceptance of all included raising five children with her devoted husband of 69 years, Gene. This welcoming spirit expanded the family to include a young man from Africa and his family as well as a family from Laos. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her son Thomas, her sister Mary Lou Woodward (Don) and her husband Eugene. She is survived by children Steven (Lori), Jill Ewald (Ken), Ann Merrick (Rick), and David (Lucy); daughter-in-law, Joan Redmond; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Surviving her also are her "adopted families" Abrahim Abaye (Bashadu), Bounthanh Leutbounshou (Bouthanh), Sam Leutbounshou (Jackie), Sopha Pheuanxayavong (Xay), Vantha Eason (Steve), Mana Leutbounshou (Jin), Josh Leutbounshou, Vanna Johnson (Lee), 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 20, in Faith Presbyterian Church, 12007 Excelsior Blvd. W. Minnetonka, Minne-sota 55343. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Rockford Historical Society (The Ames - Florida - Stork House), Northfield Retirement Communities or Faith Presbyterian Church.
