Haugen, Jennifer A. Born April 16, 1962, at Keesler Air Force Base Hospital, Biloxi, MS, to parents, Jim and Joanne Haugen. Died November 23, 2019, of lung failure at Augustana Homes, Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by her parents, brother John (Linda), niece Estelle, nephews Lukas, Isaac and Truman, Uncles Bill Hall (Karen) of Springfield, OR, & Robert Hall of Torrance, CA, Aunt Shari Anderson of Belleview, WA, cousins in WA, OR, & CA; and a host of friends, all of whom Jen loved and looked forward to seeing. In addition to family, she loved animals and was preceded in passing by pets Shana, Zoe, Rocket, Puck, and is survived by her dog Rylee. She graduated St. Louis Park, H.S., and The American School of Neon, Minneapolis, after which she became a neon instructor as well as a fabricator. She did several commissioned projects including the lobby neon at the Target Center when it first opened. With pride she executed projects throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and outstate. She delighted in telling her horrified mom; "Yes, I was on top of that building" referring to installing or repairing neon on a skyscraper. She was a diligent, high energy worker, often taking gigs as an evening bar tender after her day job. In fact, when the Super Bowl was last in Minneapolis, she HAD to be part of the scene. To experience the buzz & excitement, she took a job as a bartender at one of the many downtown sidewalk venues. She was loving, fair and talented. She loved sports, especially the Vikings. We will miss her infectious smile and energy which she shared with everyone she encountered. She is preceded in death by infant sister Janna, Grandparents Abner & Edna Haugen, Cyrus & Helen Hall, Aunt Mary (Haugen) Doran, Uncle Larry Hall. Private interment Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
