Campbell, Delmar, Jr. Age 74, of Prairie Island, died Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Tinta Wita Tipi Care Center, Welch, MN. He was born on January 12, 1945, in Minneapolis to Delmar, Sr. and Lillian (Ulrich) Campbell. He grew up in Minneapolis and Bena, Minnesota. For 29 years he worked for the Star Tribune. He also attended school to become a culinary chef. He enjoyed cooking and was a hunting enthusiast and gun aficionado. He is survived by his two daughters, Billie (Richard) Lumbar and Margaret Campbell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Roach and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Delmar Campbell III and De-Ann Bellanger; one sister, Delberta Campbell and two brothers, Shawn Baker and Joseph Campbell. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Prairie Island Community Center, Welch, MN. Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2019, at the Center and continue until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date.
