Cooper, Robert Sanford passed from this life on October 30, 2019 at the age of 83. Born in North Dakota, Bob was predeceased by his parents Sanford & Genevieve. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy. He also leaves behind his children Jeff, Cara, and Ann along with their spouses, 7 grand-children, and 3 great-grandchildren. A graduate of the University of North Dakota, Bob was valued as a colleague and friend in the clinical laboratory science community. He was a loving, loyal husband and father. With Nancy, Bob built a strong foundation for the cherished next generations. The center of family gatherings, he was known for his clever limericks for all occasions, engaging conversation, quick wit and love of a great homemade dessert. Bob and Nancy enjoyed travel, golf, investing, the orchestra and caring for their home of 51 years (especially the lawn.) He was an active member of the Basilica of St. Mary where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Mass at 2:00 p.m. and a reception will follow at the church. Memorials to the Basilica of St. Mary or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
