Larson, Raymond "Ray" Age 88 of McGregor formerly of Aitkin and Osseo died Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Augustana Health Care Center in Moose Lake, Mn. Ray was born September 5, 1931 in River Falls, Wisconsin the son of Raymond Larson and Louise Kohl. He lived in River Falls until the age of 2 and then went to an orphanage. He the went to live with Muriel and Carl Tonn at the age of 7 in Osseo, MN. He attended the Osseo High School where he was a standout basketball player and graduated from the Osseo High School. He had started working at the Honeywell Company when he was still in high school. Upon his graduation he continued to work for Honeywell and a machinist and later as an engineering aid. He married Patricia Graton on June 7, 1952 in Osseo. They had made their home in Osseo before moving to the Aitkin area in 1967 where they owned and operated the Farm Island Resort. He continued to work for Honeywell and worked for them for 38 years. They sold the resort in 1988 and moved to their home on Farm Island Lake. His wife Patricia died in 1998. Ray married Jeannette Wohlk on June 8, 2000 in Aitkin. They have made their home in McGregor since. He enjoyed fishing, hinting, gardening, traveling, dancing and refurbishing his ford tractor and his model A. He is survived by wife: Jeannette (Jan) Wohlk; Children: Gerrie Stapleton, Judy (Tim) Killeen, Tony (Wynnelle) Larson; Step Children: Vernon C. (Sue) Wohlk, Bruce (Carole) Wohlk, Kevin (Anita) Wohlk; Grandchildren: Matt Killeen, Kyle (Marcie) Killeen, Brandy Stapleton, Gena Bilden; Step Grandchildren: Ryan Wohlk, Mitch Wohlk, Andrea Wohlk, Rocci Wohlk; Great Grandchildren: Olivia Stapleton, Owen Stapleton, Carter Stapleton, Aaron Bilden, Nolan Bilden, Maxwell Killeen, Emma Killeen, Step Great Grandchild: Rylee Wohlk; Foster siblings: Jim (Baiying) Tonn, Alvin (Pat) Tonn, Georgie (Gerry) Tonn; Sisters and brothers: Mary Lou (Floyd) Anderson, Shirley Anderson, David (Ginger) Sempel, Nancy Granger and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Larson, Foster parents of 11 years Muriel and Carl Tonn, mother Louise and step father Louie Sempel, father Raymond Larson and half brothers Wayne Semple and Ronald Sempel. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Noon at thr Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin with Rev. Joshua Reinke officiating.
