Caswell, Dona B. Age 97, of Maple Grove, MN passed away peacefully on September 21, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born in Rochester, MN on May 3, 1922 where she attended elementary school, high school & a year of college. On December 31, 1941 Dona eloped with and married Keith Caswell in Minneapolis. They lived most of their 74-year marriage in Minneapolis, Golden Valley & Maple Grove, MN; and wintered in Sun City West, AZ for many years. She was very active in her church & community; and was instrumental in building the Phoenix Residence in St. Paul for handicapped adults. She & Keith were long-time patrons of the Guthrie Theater, MN Orchestra & other arts organizations. They traveled extensively throughout their marriage & always enjoyed a new adventure. Dona loved to read, and her book club friends. She was an excellent cook & hostess. She enjoyed walking, hiking, camping, gardening, golf, bowling & spending time with her family and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Keith; son, Kent; infant daughter, Suzanne. Survived by sons, Chad of Ellenwood, GA & Lynn (Signe) of Elk River; grandchildren Cheryl (Peter) Boston, Craig (Shirlleisa) Caswell, Sonja (Ross) Bearson, John (Jenni) Caswell, Victoria Caswell; great- grandchildren, Phoenix Brown, Jonah, Micah & Noah Caswell. Celebration of Life at Maple Grove Lutheran Church, 9251 Elm Creek Blvd. N., 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2019 with visitation one-hour prior.
