Jacobson, Howard H. With great sadness we announce the passing of Howard Hilman Jacobson, of Edina (formerly Bloomington), on Friday, Septem ber 20. A beloved husband, father and grandfather he lived to be 94. Howard was preceded in death by his parents Hilman and Hulda and his brother Jerome. He will be missed forever by his loving wife Joyce, daughters Bonnie (Tony) Marziani , Karen (Carter) Reese, Lisa (Lance) Bredeson, grandchildren Natalie and Nicholas Marziani, Kasey and Cami Reese, Kiersten and Kendra Bredeson. Howard was born March 21, 1925 in Kenyon, Minnesota where he grew up on the family farm. After graduating from Kenyon High School he attended the UofM Agricultural School. In 1950 he joined the Army and served in the Korean War until 1952. Thereafter, he enjoyed a 37 year career with Archer Daniels Midland at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. Howard met Joyce at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. They were married June 29, 1958 and enjoyed 61 years of happy married life. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, September 25 with visitation 1 hour prior and lunch to follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1701 Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington. Interment 1:15pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bloomington or MN State Services for the Blind.
