Lenander, Raymond S. 78 of Ramsey, MN passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 3rd, 2019. Raymond was born on October 27, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN to Astrid (Green) Lenander and Oscar Lenander. At a young age his family moved to Akeley, MN where he attended Akeley Public School, graduating in 1958. He married Carol Jean Johnson in 1960. They resided in the Akeley area where they had two sons Wayne and Bryan. They moved to the Twin Cities in 1962, where he started working for US Bank in computer processing. He married Marcia Solomon in June 1974 who brought one daughter, Christine into the family. Raymond enjoyed getting together with family and friends to play cards, play games, listen to country music, or just drink coffee and catch up on the latest news. He loved the outdoors, including working in the yard and garden, boating, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed traveling the U.S., visiting historic battle grounds to relive the events in the 1800's. Retired from US Bank in 2002, after rising to the level of Assistant Vice President. He is survived by his wife Marcia Lenander; 3 children Wayne (Heather), Bryan (Sandie) and Christine (Taylor) Kent; sister Carole; several nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren Andrew, Brittany and Autumn; 3 great grandchildren Malin, Oskar and Jeremy. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers Edward, William and David and four sisters Joyce, Sonja, Diane and Linda. Memorial service 2:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Anoka United Methodist Church, 850 South Street, Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Private interment Great Falls, MT. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred and will be directed toward Alzheimer's research.
