Reidel, Nat On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Nathaniel "Nat" Christian Reidel passed away after battling pancreatic cancer. Nat was born on June 12, 1947 in Syracuse, NY to Joseph and Lillian Reidel. He graduated from Pebble Hill and received a degree from Curry College. Nat enjoyed life to the fullest and will always be remembered for his funny stories and the laughter that he brought to everyone. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Many people benefited from his mentoring both professionally and personally. He found great joy in helping people. His passions were spending summers at the family cottage in Selkirk Shores, sailing in Rhode Island and Minnesota, his golfing buddies at Onondaga County Club and Wyndmere, traveling, fine wines, oysters on the half shell and crossword puzzles in ink. He was also an avid music lover and loved attending SU football and basketball games with his brother Danny. He was proud of his knowledge of history and could dominate any trivia night, which earned him the name "Mensa Man". Though his proudest title was being called Papa Nat, Opa and Natty by his nineteen grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Dee, his four children Mitchell (Laura) Reidel, Natalie (Adam) Brill, their mother Martha Schuster, Jill (Sean) Martin and Suzanne (Christopher) Williams. As well as, his two brothers Joseph (Kathy) Reidel and Daniel Reidel along with his cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a private family celebration of his life.
