Boosalis, William G 'Bill' Age 95, of Edina, passed away on August 10, 2019. Preceded in death by wife Antoinette "Toni"; siblings, Nick, Mike (Helen), Georgia (George) Kootsikas, George and Ted; Sister-inlaw, Kay Boosalis; brother-in-law, George Smith. Survived by children, Maria Diment, Gus (Kari) Boosalis, Alex (Linda) Boosalis; grandchildren, Gregory, Nicholas, Katherine, William, Phoebe (Ben), Aristotle, Zoe, Sophia, Andrew, Felicia; Siblings, John Boosalis and Elaine Smith; also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Bill was born and raised in Faribault, Minnesota. After high school he enlisted in the Navy and served his country honorably during WWII. After WWII he returned to Faribault and took over his father's restaurant, The Olympia Restaurant and Homemade Candy Shop. Along with his partners he owned & operated many Hardee's Restaurants across seven states. After retiring at age 76 he became very involved at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church and it's community. He especially enjoyed the Saturday Bible Study. He was a member of AHEPA, The American Legion, the VFW and a 70 year member of the Masonic Lodge. Bill also enjoyed his frequent trips to the casino and the friends he made there. Above all he was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed. Visitation 4-7pm Thursday August 15th with 4pm Trisagion Service at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100, Edina. Funeral Service 11:00am Friday August 16th with visitation beginning at 10:00am at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave S., Minneapolis. Interment Lakewood.
