Ronald David Schuelein

Schuelein, Ronald David 87, formerly of Columbia Heights, passed peacefully July 13, 2019 at his Elk River home in the arms of his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jackie, daughters Victoria Berg, Karla (Steve Camp), and Julie Borrilez (Gary), siblings Merritt, Marlys and Clive; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is welcomed into heaven by daughter Joni Beaty and parents, Oscar and Sophie. Ron's greatest accomplishments were the relationships he nurtured as husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was proud of his career in the printing industry which spanned 44 years. He started as a messenger and with dedication to his craft; he worked his way up to running press rooms at Jensen Printing, Webb Publishing and Scoville Press. Ron was an active volunteer at Union Congregational Church, BeFriender Ministry and RSVP. He shared his love of music as a member in several church choirs, played clarinet in community band, and spent hours with guitar in hand. Each year on their birthday, friends and family eagerly anticipated the phone call from Ron and Jackie singing a Happy Birthday duet for their special day. Ron's greatest gift was the way he touched people with his kindness, good humor and gentle ways. He will remain forever in our hearts. His life will be celebrated at Union Congregational Church UCC, 1118 4th St. NW Elk River on Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. We would be honored if you blessed any of these organizations with your gift of remembrance: Fairview Hospice, Guardian Angels, and Union Congregational Church UCC.
