Georges, Marilyn Jean (Kinghorn) passed away in the comfort of her home on March 17, 2019 at the age of 79 after a very long, courageous battle with cancer. Marilyn was born on May 4, 1939 to Loren and Mary (Hulburt) Kinghorn. She grew up in Osseo, MN and enjoyed hunting and fishing with her father and going to the cabin with family and friends. She enjoyed nature and passed that love onto her children. Some of her favorite trips were to the North Shore of Lake Superior especially Grand Marais in the fall. She was a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer with Zion Lutheran Church while her children were growing up. Marilyn's strong work ethic was seen in all she did. She was a loyal employee and insisted on giving her all in every job she ever had. She instilled this value in her children and granddaughter. Friends and family will remember her generous heart, witty personality and open arms for everyone. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Patrick, Janet and Brian Georges; granddaughter Erica; siblings Loren (Evelyn) Kinghorn, Robert (Marlene) Kinghorn, Charles (Sue) Kinghorn and Marge (Ed) Mabin. She was also honored to be called Grandma by Robin (Greg) Gauvin, Cheyanne Kotz, Kyle (Delia) Kotz, Ryliegh, Kiera, Danica and Loki and will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Marilyn's care team, infusion nurses, front desk and scheduling staff and especially Dr. K and Lana at MN Oncology in Coon Rapids, MN for providing loving care, support and friendship over the last 7 years.
