Don Berry of Edinburgh USA won his fourth consecutive Minnesota Senior Open in rainy conditions Wednesday, beating Brad Schmierer of Hastings CC and Bump Werness of Golf Galaxy in a two-hole playoff at Island View Golf Club in Waconia.

Berry and Schmierer parred the first playoff hole, but Werness was eliminated after missing his par putt. On the second playoff hole, after hitting his bunker shot to about 8 feet from the hole, Berry drilled his birdie putt to claim the championship.

"I struggled both days with my putter, especially [Wednesday] except for that final putt in the playoff," Berry said. He also explained "it is tough with the conditions, but I felt that I hit the ball really well all day, which kept me in it."
