KAT upgraded to questionable

Wolves update: This is the first of back-to-back home games against San Antonio this weekend — a scheduling feature of this COVID-condensed season. It also begins a relatively forgiving stretch of the Wolves' schedule after a tough start. After winning their first two games, the Wolves have lost six in a row — five against Western Conference playoff teams from a year ago. But nine of the next 10, including these two against the Spurs, are against teams that missed the playoffs last season. And seven of the next eight are at home. … Karl-Anthony Towns, who has missed all six games of the losing streak because of a dislocated left wrist, is questionable for Saturday's game. Josh Okogie (hamstring strain) will miss his sixth game in a row. ... The NBA G League announced Friday that 17 teams will participate in a truncated and bubbled season in Orlando starting in February. That includes the Iowa Wolves, who normally play home games in Des Moines.

Spurs update: San Antonio missed the playoffs last season for the first time since 1997 and is looking to rebound. So far the Spurs are 4-4 — including impressive back-to-back road wins in their past two games over the Clippers and Lakers. ... Seven different Spurs players average double-digit scoring this season, led by DeMar DeRozan at 19.1 ppg. ... San Antonio takes 62.8 two-point attempts a game — most in the NBA — and turns the ball over just 11.5 times a game, fewest in the league.
