Last Gophers win at Nebraska came in 2012

Preview: The Gophers (13-11, 6-11 Big Ten) have to quickly pick up the pieces after Thursday's loss to Northwestern, their fourth straight defeat. They turn around Saturday to play at Nebraska after only a day's preparation. This game was originally scheduled for Jan. 20 but was postponed because of a COVID-19 issue for the Cornhuskers. Nebraska (5-17, 1-14) was winless in the Big Ten the last time it faced the Gophers in a 79-61 loss Feb. 8 at Williams Arena. Six days later, Nebraska won 62-61 at Penn State for what still is its only league win. If the Gophers want to end a 10-game conference road losing streak dating back to last year, they'll need to win this weekend in Lincoln, Neb., for the first time since 2012.

Players to watch: Gophers guard Marcus Carr is 10-for-39 from three-point range (25.6%) in his past eight games, but he's also 29-for-31 on free throws. Nebraska guard Teddy Allen was sidelined for disciplinary reasons in the last meeting with the Gophers, but he leads the team with 17 points per game.

Numbers: The Gophers rank second in the Big Ten and 47th nationally with 25.2 three-point attempts per game this season. But their 29% accuracy ranks last in the Big Ten and 326th nationally.
