Dylan Holloway's second power-play goal of the game, 42 seconds into overtime, gave No. 7 Wisconsin a 2-1 victory over Ohio State on Friday night at the Kohl Center in Madison.

The victory keeps the second-place Badgers (16-8-1, 14-6-1 Big Ten) on the heels of the Gophers for the Big Ten regular-season title. Holloway scored his first goal at 4:45 of the opening period.

The Buckeyes (6-16-1, 6-15) tied the score on Gustaf Westlund's power-play goal at 17:27 of the second.

Notre Dame 2, Michigan State 0: Landon Slaggerty and Alex Steeves scored goals and Dylan St. Cyr stopped 27 shots as the visiting Irish (11-12-2, 9-10-2) beat the Spartans (7-14-2, 5-13-1).

No. 7 Michigan 4: Arizona State 1: Freshman forward Manny Beniers had a hat trick to lead the host Wolverines (13-8).

No. 2 North Dakota 4, No. 11 Omaha 2: Jasper Weatherby scored the tiebreaking goal with 1:18 left in the third period as the visiting Fighting Hawks (18-4-1) edged the Mavericks (13-9-1).

WCHA women

No. 7 Minnesota Duluth 4, No. 1 Wisconsin 2: The host Bulldogs (11-4 overall/WCHA) upset the Badgers (11-3-1) to set up a one-game showdown for the conference title at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amsoil Arena. Wisconsin had an eight-game unbeaten streak (7-0-1) ended. Gabbie Hughes of UMD broke a 2-all tie with 22 seconds left in the second period and scored again in the middle of the third.
