Ethanol industry has been absolutely shellacked by COVID-induced drop in gasoline demand. At least three of MN's roughly 20 plants are idle, many more have cut back on production. One recently started turning out ethanol for hand sanitizer markets after FDA relaxed some rules. Al-Corn is still operating, though at a reduced rate. However, it has also started making ethanol for hand sanitizer markets, which entailed putting in extra tanks and tubes.
