College: Nebraska (1958-61)

NFL: Undrafted, Tingelhoff signed with the Vikings in 1962. He started 240 consecutive regular-season games at center, 259 if you include his 19 playoff games.

Honors: Five-time first team All-Pro; six-time Pro Bowler; Vikings Ring of Honor, 2001; four Super Bowls; number (53) retired.

Family: He and wife, Phyllis, have two sons, Pat and Mike, a daughter, Teri, and 12 grandchildren.
