Minnesota State Mankato used a balanced offensive attack and sack-happy defensive unit to remain perfect Saturday.
The unbeaten Mavericks (6-0) accumulated 439 yards of offense, 216 on the ground and 223 through the air, to down Augustana 35-27 in a NSIC matchup in Mankato.
Junior quarterback Ricky Lloyd completed nine of 12 passes for 192 yards and three scores, all in the first half. Sophomore Ty Dennis was on the receiving end of two of the touchdowns, and finished with six catches for 153 yards.
Mavericks senior defensive end Josh Gordon had three sacks and assisted on two others.
Augustana quarterback Trey Heid completed 20 of 28 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns but was under pressure all day. He was sacked eight times and lost two fumbles.
Minnesota Duluth 34, St. Cloud State 27: Drew Bauer threw for one touchdown and ran for another as the 15th-ranked Bulldogs (4-2) held on to beat the Huskies (3-3). Bauer completed 11 of 20 passes for 190 yards and rushed for a team-high 88 yards on 18 carries. St. Cloud State's Nate Meyer completed 33 of 53 passes for 424 yards and four scores.
Sioux Falls (S.D.) 51, Winona State 30: Luke Papilion threw five more touchdown passes, giving him 18 on the season, as the No. 4 Cougars (6-0) raced past the Warriors (3-3). Papilion went 26-for-41 passing for 413 yards. Brady Rose had seven catches for 123 yards and three scores.
Southwest Minnesota State 61, Wayne State (Neb.) 3: The Mustangs (5-1) exploded for 47 points in the opening half, and bounced back from their first loss of the season to crush the Wildcats (3-3). Quarterbacks Blake Gimbel and Connor Wilkie combined for four touchdown passes, two to junior wide receiver Raphael Lawson-Gayle.
Upper Iowa 52, Concordia 20: Dimitri Morales completed 38 of 48 passes for 460 yards and five touchdowns, two each to Jalen Amis and Jarred Edmonds, as the Peacocks (4-2) outscored the Golden Bears (1-5).
Northern State 48, MSU Moorhead 26: The Wolves (2-4) scored 41 second-half points, overcoming an early two-touchdown deficit to beat the Dragons (3-3). Kyle Lavand tossed three touchdown passes for the winners.
Bemidji State 41, Minnesota-Crookston 7: The Beavers (3-3) scored on four of their first five possessions in beating the Golden Eagles (0-6). Jordan Hein threw two touchdown passes and ran for one in the first half when the Beavers built a 34-0 lead.
Minot State 15, Mary 9 (OT): Jarvis Mustipher's 2-yard run in the extra session lifted the Beavers (1-5) over the Marauders (0-6) in a battle of North Dakota rivals. Mary kicker Cody Goetz made a 27-yard field goal with 4 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh 10, Wisconsin-Whitewater 7: Greg Rand kicked a 41-yard field goal with 10 minutes, 45 seconds remaining, and the 15-ranked Titans (4-1) knocked off the No. 1-ranked and two-time Division III defending national champion Warhawks (4-1) in Oshkosh.
Whitewater's 36-game winning streak, the longest in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, ended.
