Two men from Hackensack in north-central Minnesota were killed in separate crashes Friday near Austin and Hackensack.

Lemoyne L. Kraushaar, 87, died after his minivan hit a tree off Interstate 90 near Austin, Minn., just before noon Friday.

Kraushaar was westbound on I-90 near W. Oakland Av. at 11:56 a.m. when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, the Minnesota State Patrol said. He was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Austin. He was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not involved, the patrol said.

Scott W. Voudren, 48, died late Friday afternoon after his pickup truck crossed the centerline on Hwy. 371 near Woodland Dr. north of Hackensack and hit a compact SUV driven by Diane M. Illies, 60, of Solway, Minn., the patrol said.

She suffered noncritical injuries in the 5:52 p.m. crash and was taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not involved, the patrol said.

Roads were dry in both crashes, the patrol said.
