Timberwolves fans will have to wait until Jan. 31.

That's the date LeBron James and his prospective new Cleveland sidekick Kevin Love, providing the verbal trade agreement between the teams is ultimately finalized, will visit Target Center for the first time. The two teams will meet in Cleveland on Dec. 23, according to the NBA schedule released Wednesday.

The Wolves will open their season Oct. 29 at Memphis, and the home-opener is Oct. 30 against Detroit. It's the first time in 14 seasons the Wolves open on the road.

Minnesota will have four nationally televised games: Nov. 1 vs. Chicago (NBATV), Nov. 12 vs. Houston (ESPN), Jan. 7 vs. Phoenix (ESPN) and April 10 at the Lakers (NBATV). The game against Houston is in Mexico City as part of the NBA's Global Games series. Last year the Timberwolves' game against San Antonio in Mexico City was postponed due to smoke in the arena, and made up later in the season in Minneapolis.

The Wolves have four, four-game homestands. The first is Nov. 19-26 highlighted by a visit from the defending champion Spurs. They also have four, four-game road trips in 2014-15, matching the highest number of road trips at least four games in a season since 2001-02.

After a home game against Golden State on Feb. 11, the Wolves are off until playing host to Phoenix on Feb. 20 for the NBA All-Star break.
