Jazz will be without Gobert

Preview: Stung by the summertime departure of free agent Gordon Hayward, the Jazz (6-7) now is also without star C Rudy Gobert (13.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks per game) for at least four weeks. Gobert sustained a bone bruise in his knee in Friday’s home loss to Miami. …The Jazz’s 114-106 victory over Brooklyn on Saturday ended a four-game losing streak. Three of those four losses came at home after the Jazz started the season 5-0 there.

Players to watch: With Gobert out Saturday, rookie guard Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 26 points in 25 minutes. Derrick Favors had 24 points and 12 rebounds, and Rodney Hood made five threes and scored 19. … Former Wolves G Ricky Rubio scored a season-high 30 points against Portland on Nov. 1, but he is 13-for-49 from the field and 1-for-17 on three-point shots in his past five games. … The Jazz started Thabo Sefolosha at power forward and Favors at center Saturday with Gobert out.

Injuries: Wolves C Justin Patton (foot surgery) remains out indefinitely. Gobert joins G Dante Exum (shoulder) and F Joe Johnson (wrist) on the sideline for the Jazz.
