Drummond: a consistent double-double

Preview: The Pistons have started the season 2-2 after opening the season with victories over Charlotte and New York and losses to Washington and Philadelphia. They lost 97-86 at home in new Little Caesars Arena to the Sixers on Monday. … The Pistons have beaten the Wolves the past four times after they ended a 10-game losing streak against them on Nov. 20, 2015. The Wolves won 117-90 at Target Center last December and 116-108 in the last game they ever played at the Palace of Auburn Hills last February. Since-traded G Zach LaVine sustained a torn knee ACL in that game.

Players to watch: Pistons C Andre Drummond's 231 career double-doubles are the second most in the NBA to New Orleans' DeMarcus Cousins since Drummond entered the league in 2012. It's the third most by a Piston since 1983, behind only Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer. … Orono's own Jon Leuer averaged 20.5 points in the two games against the Wolves last season. … Pistons reserve forward Anthony Tolliver played for the Wolves from 2010 to 2012.

Injuries: Wolves G Jimmy Butler missed Tuesday's game because of an upper respiratory illness and is questionable for Wednesday's game. Rookie C Justin Patton (foot) remains out. Dwight Buycks (hip flexor) and Reggie Bullock (NBA suspension) are out.
