Preview: The Cavaliers have started the season 1-2, beating Brooklyn at home in the opener before losing both games on a Charlotte-Indiana trip. … The Cavaliers and Wolves are tied for second behind San Antonio for most international players on their opening-day rosters. Each team has six; the Spurs have 10. … The Wolves swept the season series a year ago, winning 91-73 at Target Center in December and 100-92 in Cleveland in February.

Players to watch: Cavs third-year guard Kyrie Irving, an All-Star last season for the first time, has 21 assists and only six turnovers in the first three games and is averaging 14.3 points, seven assists and 4.7 rebounds in 32 minutes a game. He averaged 22.5 points and 5.9 assists last season. … The Cavs made a big offseason acquisition, signing free-agent reserve guard Jarrett Jack away from Golden State. He is averaging 11.7 points on 51.9 percent shooting, with averages of three assists, 2.7 rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes a game.

Injuries: Wolves F Chase Budinger (knee surgery) and C Ronny Turiaf (fractured right elbow) are out. Cavs rookie swingman Carrick Felix (hernia) is out.
