Wild goes for season sweep

Preview: The Wild can finish the regular season 5-0 against Winnipeg with a victory. That would be the longest win streak against the organization since the Wild defeated the Atlanta Thrashers in five straight games Nov. 13, 2001, to Jan. 2, 2007. The Wild is 11-6-3 in its last 20 meetings with the Jets, including 5-3-1 in its last nine games at Winnipeg. The Wild has swept five other season series of at least four games in history.

Players to watch: C Eric Staal is set to become the 311th player in NHL history to play 1,000 games and the fifth to do so in a Wild sweater. Since entering the NHL in 2003-04, he ranks second in shots on goal, third in games played, seventh in goals, eighth in points, ninth in power play goals and 11th in assists among active players. G Darcy Kuemper is expected to start. He has been pulled in his past two starts, including at Winnipeg on Feb. 28. C Bryan Little became the fifth member of the Jets to score 20 goals this season when he scored two goals against the Islanders on Thursday. He joined Patrik Laine (33), Mark Schiefele (28), Nikolaj Ehlers (22) and Blake Wheeler (21). Laine leads all NHL rookies with 60 points. … D Dustin Byfuglien leads the Jets with 28 points in 34 career games against the Wild.

Numbers: The Wild is 6-3-2 in the second of back-to-backs this season. … The Jets are 16-8-2 against Central Division teams this season, including 8-3-0 at home. … The Jets are 11-for-17 (64.7 percent) on the penalty kill in their past four games.

Injuries: Wild D Christian Folin (upper body) and D Gustav Olofsson (upper body) are out. Jets D Tyler Myers (lower body), G Ondrej Pavelec (knee), D Jacob Trouba (upper body), D Paul Postma (lower body), LW Shawn Matthias (shoulder) and D Toby Enstrom (concussion) are out.
