The Wild announced Wednesday it has invited 58 players to its training camp, which begins with on-ice workouts Friday. Players will report Thursday for meetings, physicals and fitness testing before beginning in earnest Friday at Xcel Energy Center.

Wild's 2017 training camp roster

The team has released six players from amateur tryouts: forwards Matt Bradley, Domenic Commisso, Giorgio Estephan and Joel Teasdale, plus defensemen Kevin Davis and Artem Minulin. Players who were at the Traverse City prospects tournament and will participate at camp include forwards Joel Eriksson Ek, Luke Kunin, Adam Gilmour, Pavel Jenys, Justin Kloos, Chase Lang, Ivan Lodnia, Gerald Mayhew, Dante Salituro, Mason Shaw, Dmitry Sokolov and Jack Walker; defensemen Gustav Bouramman, Braydyn Chizen, Jacob Golden, Brennan Menell, Carson Soucy and Hunter Warner; and goalies Dereck Baribeau and Adam Vay.

Saturday's practices are open to the public, which also is invited to bring water to flood the rink as part of the Wild's "Our Ice" promotion. The practice runs from 9:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Fans can enter through Gates 1 and 2 beginning at 9 a.m. If you bring water, take it to Gate 1, where a Zamboni will be parked from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. The water--a maximum of three ounces, in portable containers, from local lakes, ponds or rinks--will be filtered and used on the Xcel ice surface on Sunday.
