Noteworthy developments Wednesday at the murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor included:

  • A 29-second iPhone video recorded by a Minneapolis teenager was played in court. It showed Mohamed Noor's partner, Matthew Harrity, trying to revive Justine Ruszczyk Damond immediately after she is shot. "Ma'am, stay with me," Harrity is heard saying.
  • The teenager said that his memory was hazy, admitting that he had consumed alcohol and marijuana that night, and said he tried to put the incident behind him.
  • Nancy Dunlap, an investigator with the Hennepin County Attorney's Office, testified that she was unable to identify the source of the noise that led Damond to call 911 before she was shot.
  • Dunlap also testified that Noor and Harrity's squad appeared to idle on the street for 25 minutes while a 911 call to check on the welfare of a woman with possible dementia went unassigned. The officers self-assigned to the call about 10 p.m. after the caller called dispatch at 9:30 p.m. for a third time.
