Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report from residents who said a girl was screaming inside their home in the 20400 block of County Road 10. They determined that the noise was caused by a family member using a blender.

EDINA

OCT. 23

Theft. Bandages, rubber bands, antacids and a running headlamp were stolen from a vehicle in the 5900 block of Kellogg Avenue.

Theft. A 72-year-old Edina woman was arrested for theft after she was caught shoplifting at Whole Foods, 7401 France Av. S.

OCT. 27

Property damage. Three 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy were arrested for property damage in the 3900 block of W. 49-1/2 Street.

EXCELSIOR

OCT. 25

Disorderly conduct. Officers responded to a report of juveniles throwing rocks off an overpass at Highway 7 and Christmas Lake Road. Two 17-year-old Excelsior boys were cited for disorderly conduct. Officers also found eggshells on the road and in their vehicle.

INDEPENDENCE

OCT. 25

Medical. Officers responded to a report of a man unable to care for himself in the 2100 block of County Road 92. They found the 42-year-old man to be intoxicated; a preliminary breath test showed a result of .40 breath alcohol concentration. He was taken to the hospital.

OCT. 28

Assist public. Officers found a stalled vehicle at County Road 101 and Hwy. 55. The driver, a 57-year-old Minneapolis woman, said she ran out of gas and only had $8 with her. Police borrowed a gas can for her from a nearby station, and she was able to drive away after adding gas to the tank.

OCT. 29

Suspicious vehicle. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a business in the 800 block of Tower Drive. The vehicle was occupied by a man who said he had been arguing with his wife and left the house to have a cigarette.

Fire. Officers responded to a report of a fire in the 600 block of Shawnee Woods Road. Upon arrival, fire officials were just leaving and said that the smoke was caused by a barbecue smoker.

RICHFIELD

OCT. 23

Disorderly conduct. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in the 7100 block of 4th Avenue S. A 38-year-old Richfield woman had locked her adult stepson out of the house. According to police reports, she was irate and refused to be reasonable, and was cited for disorderly conduct.

OCT. 24

Drugs. Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun at Motel 6, 7640 Cedar Av. S. A 25-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of prescription drugs.

OCT. 29

Property damage. Officers responded to a report of a man seen entering vehicles in the 6300 block of Harriet Avenue S. They eventually found a 19-year-old Richfield man and cited him for tampering with a motor vehicle.

SHOREWOOD

OCT. 19

Tobacco violation. Two 17-year-old Minnetonka boys were cited for possession of tobacco at Vine Hill Road and Broms Boulevard.

OCT. 20

Drugs. A 24-year-old Minnetonka woman was cited for possession of marijuana at Highways 7 and 41.
