CHASKA
JUNE 1
Weapon. Officers responded to a report of two students walking south of Pioneer Ridge Middle School along Audubon Road near Weston Ridge with what appeared to be a gun. Officers located the two boys and made contact with their parents. The gun was a toy. Police will work with school officials to come to a resolution.
INDEPENDENCE
MAY 23
Drugs. Officers observed juveniles outside of a truck parked in the street at 1:02 a.m. at Townline Road and Deer Ridge Trail. An Independence boy, 15, and Orono boys, 15 and 16, were cited with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and curfew violations. The parents were contacted and picked up their sons.
MAY 29
Driving complaint. Officers responded to a report of multiple children riding ATVs on Heritage Trail near Pagenkopf Road. Officers found three children riding ATVs down the driveway of a home. Officers spoke with the father who said he'd keep them off Heritage Road and on his property.
MAPLE GROVE
MAY 17
Animal complaint. A homeowner reported there was a snapping turtle in the front yard of the home on the 8600 block of Terraceview Lane. An officer safely relocated the turtle to a pond.
MAY 18
Suspicious person. Officers responded to a home on the 6600 block of Olive Lane on a report of a person crawling through the window of a home nearby. A resident in the home told officers that the front door is broken and going through the window is the only access to the home.
MAPLE PLAIN
MAY 24
Driving violations. A 25-year-old Minnetonka man was cited for texting while driving and driving after suspension after an officer observed him typing on his phone at a stoplight at Baker Park Road and Highway 12.
PLYMOUTH
MAY 19
Weapon. A 15-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a replica firearm on school grounds at Armstrong High School, 10635 36th Avenue.
MAY 23
Drugs. A 17-year-old boy was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco following a traffic stop at Vicksburg Lane and 32nd Avenue N.
RICHFIELD
MAY 24
Assault. Officers responded to 65th Street W. and Woodlake Drive on a report of a disturbance. A 24-year-old St. Paul woman fought with officers. Two officers were injured. She was arrested for assaulting a police officer.
MAY 28
Drugs. Officers responded to the 6500 block of Nicollet Avenue S. on a report of a suspicious male. A 33-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of narcotics.
MAY 30
Assault. Officers responded to the 6400 block of Logan Avenue S. on a report of a disturbance. A 60-year-old Richfield man was arrested for assault.
TONKA BAY
MAY 23
Drugs. A 29-year-old Wayzata man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Interlachen Drive and County Road 19.
WATERTOWN
MAY 27
Underage consumption. Two men, ages 18 and 19, were cited for underage consumption on the 1000 block of Trebbiano Lane N.
