MAY 17

Drug-related. An 18-year-old woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, and a 19-year-old man cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, in the 6900 block of Hazeltine Boulevard.

EDINA

MAY 8

Theft. A 2009 Toyota Highlander was stolen from the 4400 block of Elsworth Drive.

MAY 18

Underage consumption. Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 5000 block of Bruce Place. A 19-year-old Edina woman was arrested for underage consumption.

Drugs. A 23-year-old Eden Prairie man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Highway 169 and Valley View Road.

INDEPENDENCE

MAY 18

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of men on abandoned property in the 3000 block of County Road 92. Police and an officer with the Department of Natural Resources found a 54-year-old St. Louis Park man and a 51-year-old Independence man in a nearby ditch harvesting wild asparagus. Both men denied going onto the property. Officers checked their vehicle and found nothing but asparagus.

GREENWOOD

MAY 4

Theft. A kayak was stolen from the backyard of a home on St. Albans Bay.

MAPLE GROVE

MAY 8

Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of a fight or possible medical assistance needed inside a vehicle in the 11800 block of 73rd Avenue. They found the vehicle and discovered an occupant swinging their head around while listening to music with friends.

MAY 9

Theft. Multiple spools of copper were stolen from a construction site in the 11500 block of Arbor Lakes Parkway.

MEDINA

MAY 20

Animal complaint. Officers responded to a report of a cat stuck behind a washer/dryer at a home in the 3100 block of Cypress Circle S. They were able to slide the appliance out of the closet to free the cat.

MINNETRISTA

MAY 16

Child found. A 2-year-old boy was found riding his scooter alone on the Dakota Trail. He was reunited with his mother.

PLYMOUTH

MAY 13

Drugs. A 16-year-old girl was cited for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at Hwy. 55 and County Road 6.

MAY 14

Theft. Someone reported that an unknown person drove up and stole his Sunday newspaper in the 12600 block of 24th Avenue.

RICHFIELD

MAY 23

Property damage. Officers responded to a report of a man, dressed only in boxer shorts, banging a car door against another vehicle in the 900 block of 78th Street E. The Richfield man, 24, was cited for property damage.

Shorewood

MAY 4

Disorderly conduct. A 39-year-old Orono woman was arrested for disorderly conduct on County Road 19.

WATERTOWN

MAY 16

Tobacco violation. An 18-year-old Watertown man was cited for furnishing tobacco to a minor in the 300 block of Territorial Street E.
