New Brighton police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at Granite Falls at Silver Lake apartment complex that left two dead Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to the complex in the 2100 block of W. County Road E. around 7:45 a.m. on a report of a domestic disturbance.
Emergency dispatchers told officers that the caller's husband had threatened to kill his daughter.
"Male had a gun in his hand when he made the caller leave and caller heard a gunshot when she left," dispatchers relayed to police, according to emergency audio.
Police say there is no threat to the public, which often indicates that a murder-suicide is suspected.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting the investigation.
Further details will be released when the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office identifies the dead. Officials declined to provide further information pending notification of relatives.
