Eddie Rosario of the Twins was named the American League player of the week on Monday.

Rosario hit .444 with four home runs, nine RBI, 12 hits and 10 runs as the Twins won six of seven games last week. They swept Milwaukee in a two-game series at home, won two games in Milwaukee, and took two of three in Detroit.

The 25-year-old left fielder is hitting .296 with 16 home runs and 46 RBI this season.

The Twins start a three-game series against AL Central-leading Cleveland on Tuesday night at Target Field.
