This is it

The silly nature of "Grace and Frankie" is a little beneath the sitcom's uber-talented cast — Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston — but it's still a delight to watch the foursome pingpong off each other, even if some occasionally go overboard in search of laughs (I'm talking to you, Sammy). The third season kicks off with a guest appearance by Kenny Loggins, who, perhaps dazzled by the company, misses the opportunity to sing a few bars of "I'm Alright."

John Mellencamp has a reputation for approaching live performances as if they were trips to the dentist. Maybe the always upbeat Darius Rucker will add some spring to the sullen rocker's step when the two team up for the latest edition of "CMT Crossroads." The concert features plenty of hits from both artists' catalogs, including "Cherry Bomb" and "Hold My Hand."

What a drag

There's no better proof that "RuPaul's Drag Race" can still justify its strut than Lady Gaga's cameo in the Season 9 premiere. I haven't placed any money on any of the 13 new contestants but based on name alone, I'm rooting for Las Vegas' Farrah Moan.

Post-it notes

International news not directly tied to President Donald Trump might be largely ignored these days if it weren't for ambitious newsmagazines like "Outpost," a fresh, energetic attempt to present feature stories from Latin America. In the premiere episode, the young correspondents — along with special guest Carmen Carrera — shine a spotlight on the violence toward transgender people in Sao Paulo and a brash form of architecture that's shaping the image of El Alto, Bolivia. Spanish versions with different pieces will air at 10 p.m. Sundays on UniMas.
