Morgan led the way. "The Gilded Age" profiles these 1-percenters, as well as the less fortunate who fought back in the political arena. Director Sarah Colt's two-hour history lesson only skims the surface, making one hungry for Ken Burns to clear his schedule and give the subject a six-night treatment.

CBS deserves the credit — or blame — for keeping Omarosa Manigault in circulation by casting her in "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition," which will air roughly four nights a week throughout the month. The interaction between the Trump insider and B-listers such as Keshia Knight Pulliam and Mark McGrath is sure to be heated, but watch the fireworks erupt when producers strip the refrigerator of Smartwater.

Going in style
The original version of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" is only 15 years old, but the idea of gay men "fixing" heterosexual misfits already seems dated. That's not necessarily the fault of the show's new crew, who seem passionate about their assignments.
