The case of Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald, who was convicted in 1979 of killing his wife and daughters, inspired the 1984 miniseries "Fatal Vision," which won Karl Malden an Emmy. "Final Vision" covers the same ground, but this time the story is told through the eyes of reporter Joe McGinniss (Dave Annable), who wrote a bestselling book on the twisted tale. Scott Foley plays MacDonald.

The great divide

"Mostly Human" host Laurie Segall investigates politics and harassment in the tech world in a five-part series, "Divided We Code." The first installment challenges the viewers to debate how much free speech should be allowed on the Web, a topic that Segall can barely dig into before the 30-minute running time elapses.
