Hole in one

Here's a golf documentary with more on its mind than helping viewers perfect their swings. "27 Years: The Exoneration of Valentino Dixon," a new film about the wrongly imprisoned artist whose vindication started with his sketch of Augusta's famed 12th hole. The film, narrated by Wendell Pierce, follows the newly released Dixon as he visits his first golf course. NBC will also air the movie on Dec. 23.

Beating the odds

Near the end of "42 to 1," a Las Vegas bookie scoffs at the "Miracle on Ice," insisting that the U.S. hockey team's 1980 upset of Russia was nothing compared with boxer Buster Douglas' 1990 defeat of Mike Tyson for the world heavyweight title. He's got a point. Iron Mike didn't participate in this latest "30 for 30" documentary, but Douglas carries the weight with details of how he pulled off the unlikely win.

Puppet show

Champs on "America's Got Talent" are often ushered off the main stage after their big win, but one recent victor hopes to extend her stay on the pop-culture radar. "Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas" finds young singer/ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer sharing the holidays with Kristin Chenoweth and Toby Keith, the next best gift to getting a pony.
