In the zone

Can Britney Spears actually sing? It's hard to tell based on her concerts, in which taped vocals tend to dominate. There will be little cover for the pop singer when she rides shotgun for "Carpool Karaoke" with "The Late Late Show With James Corden." Even if Spears nails the high notes, she'll have a hard time topping Adele's appearance, which has amassed over 121 million views.

Lip service

Season 2 of "RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars" offers a new twist: The top two participants each week will compete in a lip sync contest, with the winner getting to kick off the court member of her choice. It would be even more delicious if champs got a chance to test their showmanship against the best of Spike's "Lip Sync Battle."

Shop 'til you drop

"The Shop Around the Corner" may not be the most beloved film in the James Stewart catalog, but it may be the most influential. The 1940 comedy has inspired several remakes, including the musical "She Loves Me," recently revived on Broadway, and the 1998 rom-com "You've Got Mail." Then there's 1949's "In the Good Old Summertime," in which Van Johnson and Judy Garland resist the urge to merge through song and dance.
