Dylan Hoen scored his second goal of the game with five seconds left in the third period to give Benilde-St. Margaret's a 7-6 victory over Chanhassen in boys' hockey at the Victoria Rec Center. The Red Knights rallied with four goals in the final 6:13 of the third period after pulling their goalie.

Matt Kocourek scored the first and third goals of that rally to complete a hat trick. He also scored to cut a Knights' deficit to two heading into the first intermission. Jonah Mortenson also scored with the Red Knights' net empty in the third period.

Hoen scored his first goal at the 4:59 mark of the first period to get the Knights on the board.

John Witcraft and Matt Blimberg scored 15 seconds apart in the first period to give the Storm an early 2-0 lead. Charlie Montang and Preston Willier scored 3:22 apart later in the opening period. Tyler Davidson and TJ Truso scored in the second period to give the Storm a three-goal lead after two.

Josh Weyandt made 40 saves for the Storm.

Edina 3, Centennial 2: Sammy Walker and Lewis Crosby scored 5:34 apart in the third period to give the Class 2A, No. 1 Hornets the victory over the visiting No. 12 Cougars. Carter Wagner and Jack Menne scored 5:24 apart to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead after one period. Jett Jungels started the comeback for the Hornets in the second period. Garrett Mackay stopped 21 shots for the Hornets and Travis Allen made 34 saves for the Cougars.

Totino-Grace 1, Holy Angels 0: Ben Palmer broke a scoreless tie 51 seconds into the third period to give the Eagles the victory over the host Stars. Freshman Will Larson stopped 15 shots for the shutout.

Forest Lake 3, Park of Cottage Grove 1: Brady Peterson stopped 26 shots to lead the Rangers past the visiting Wolfpack. Jordan Oberholtzer got the Rangers on the board with 1:20 left in first period. Zack Raabe extended the lead 7:52 into the second period for the Rangers. Bailey Hein cut the deficit in half for the Wolfpack 1:47 later. Jacob Zowin sealed the victory with 51 seconds left on the power play.

Farmington 3, Eagan 2 (OT): Zach Willis scored his second goal 38 seconds into overtime to give the Tigers the victory over the visiting Class 2A, No. 18 Wildcats. He scored his first goal 6:34 into the first period to give the Tigers a two-goal lead. Quinn Rudrud got the Tigers on the board 4:40 into the game. Cole Peplinski scored both Wildcats. He got the Wildcats on the board in the second period and then tied the game with 10:14 left in regulation. Kenneth Lacroix stopped 26 shots for the Tigers and Brandon Toussaint made 22 saves for the Wildcats.

Orono 3, Delano 2: Zach Adams broke a 2-2 tie with 1:22 left in the third period to give the Class 1A, No. 3 Spartans the victory over the visiting No. 11 Tigers. Evan Sivets and Adam Brown scored 5:50 apart in the first period to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Jack Suchy got the Spartans on the board with 2:05 left in the first period. Landon Wittenberg tied the game for the Spartans 1:27 into the second period. Evan Babekuhl stopped 22 shots and Jackson Hjelle made 20 saves for the Tigers.

Tartan 1, Roseville 0: Justin Thompson broke a scoreless tie 5:12 into the third period to give the Titans the victory over the Raiders. Joey Dimartino stopped 18 shots for the shutout and Kyle Roy made 34 saves for the Raiders.

Girls' hockey

Centennial 4, Andover 3 (OT): Hannah Backman scored her second goal of the game with nine seconds left in overtime to give the Class 2A, No. 3 Cougars the victory of the visiting No. 6 Huskies. Hailee Berg sent the game to overtime for the Cougars with one second left in the third period. Clair Butorac scored three goals and Jamie Nelson had two assists for the Huskies. Anneke Linser had three assists, Gabbie Hughes had two assists and Emily Nadeau scored a goal for the Cougars.

Northfield 3, Faribault 2 (OT): Lizzy Morsching scored 2:36 into overtime to give the Raiders the victory over the host Falcons. Jessica Boland and Kate Boland scored 2:53 apart to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead by the midway point of the second period. Kayli Burkhartzmeyer got the Falcons on the board with 1:20 left in the middle period. Olivia Williamson sent the game to overtime with a goal 7:36 into the third period.

Henry Sibley 2, Osseo/Park Center 1: Annie Gydesen broke a 1-1 tie with 5:56 left in the third period to give the Warriors the victory over host Osseo/Park Center. Kalley Partyka got the Warriors on the board in the first period and Olivia Fredrickson tied it for Osseo/Park Center in the second. Paige Erickson stopped 26 shots for the Warriors and Sophie Almquist made 36 saves for Osseo/Park Center.

Wayzata 3, Minnetonka 1: Sloane Matthews scored two first period goals to lead the Class 2A, No. 9 Trojans past the visiting No. 14 Skippers. Maggie Nicholson cut the deficit in half for the Skippers with 20 seconds left in the second period. Emily Wisnewski sealed the win for the Trojans with an empty-net goal with 16 seconds left in the third period. Stephanie Garvis stopped 28 shots for the Trojans and Abby Manlove made 23 saves for the Skippers.

Blaine 4, Champlin Park/Coon Rapids 1: Gabby Rosenthal scored two third-period goals to help the Class 2A, No. 8 Bengals pull away from visiting Champlin Park/Coon Rapids. Delaney Johnson got Champlin Park/Coon Rapids on the board first 11:08 into the first period. Abby Jones and Peyton Parent scored 2:34 apart in the second period to turn the deficit into a one-goal lead. Baleigh Shuck stopped 44 shots for Champlin Park/Coon Rapids.

Chaska/Chanhassen 7, Hopkins/St. Louis Park 4: Abby Weyandt scored two goals to lead the Stormhawks past visiting Hopkins/St. Louis Park. Nina Langley had three assists, Marie Walsh and Abby Anderson had a goal and an assist each, Grace Doerring had two assists and Brooklynn Berg, Brier Ziemer and Jordyn Perlich had a goal each for the Stormhawks. Annika Patterson, Mary Gleason and Erin Brousseau had a goal and an assist each, Kylie Hanley had three assists and Amanda Olson scored a goal for Hopkins/St. Louis Park. Olivia Rinzel stopped 28 shots for the Stormhawks and Emelia Johnson made 20 saves for Hopkins/St. Louis Park.

Boys' basketball

Shakopee 69, Lakeville South 64: The Sabers overcame a 15-point halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Cougars. Charles Katona led the Sabers with 18 points. Riley Mahlman led the Cougars with 13 points. Caleb Druvenga and Will Cordes had 13 points each and Garrett Mitchell had 10 for the Sabers. Beau Bailey had 12 points, Cooper Jackson 11 and Cody Niesen 10 for the Cougars.

Woodbury 70, Forest Lake 69 (OT): The Royals overcame a second-half rally to defeat the visiting Rangers in overtime. Michael Jones led the Royals with 24 points. Steven Colon scored 20 points to lead the Rangers in their comeback from a seven-point halftime deficit. DJ Fleming had 14 points and David Alston 10 for the Royals. Cooper Berg had 15 points and Thad Ball 10 for the Rangers.

St. Louis Park 54, Benilde-St. Margaret's 52: Cire Mayfield scored 25 points to lead the Orioles past the visiting Red Knights. Joe Dunn and Riley Miller scored 16 points each to lead the Benilde-St. Margaret's.

Eastview 64, Rosemount 55: Max Bolger scored 15 points to lead the Lightning past the host Irish. Essam Ibrahim had 14 points, Tate Machacek 11 and Steven Crowl 10 for the Lightning. Luke Siwek and Andrew Reuter scored 15 points each to lead the Irish and Jacob Siwek had 13.

Brooklyn Center 81, Fridley 75: Lu'Cye Patterson scored 33 points to lead the Centaurs past the visiting Tigers. Jerome Cunningham led the Tigers with 26 points. Adreone Sprinkles scored 15 points and Qentrell Douglas 13 for the Centaurs. Isaac Burns had 16 points and Evan Nelson and Nate Soto 12 each for the Tigers.

Roseville 53, Stillwater 49: Drew Adams scored 14 points and Daevonte Munson 12 to lead the Raiders past the host Ponies. Aaron Parker scored 18 points to lead the Ponies.

St. Paul Highland Park 74, St. Paul Como Park 69: Naseem Lewis scored 17 points to lead the Scots past the visiting Cougars. Donn Ward led the Cougars with 23 points and Daehveon Tucker had 11. Mohamoud Bue added 15 points and Benny Hughes 11 for the Scots.

Buffalo 62, Cambridge-Isanti 58: Aidan Bouman scored 13 points to lead the Bison past the visiting Bluejackets. Henry Abraham led the Bluejackets with 21 points and Westen Olson had 11. Jack Munsterteiger, Matthew Willert and Tony Dahl had 12 points each and Brandon Maatz had 10 for the Bison.

Hope Academy 76, The International School of Minnesota 74: Caleb Hoilien scored 21 points to lead the Lions past the visiting Huskies. Preston Dahlen led the Huskies with 21 points. Roger Martinez had 20 points, Nathanael Talavera had 15 points and Elijah Wade had 13 for the Lions. Elliot Habel had 19 points, Zach Breen 15 and Michah Hjelle 11 for the Huskies.

Cristo Rey Jesuit 85, Prairie Seeds Academy 79: James Sommer scored 25 points to lead the Pumas past the visiting Lycans. AiMonti Booth scored 23 points to lead the Lycans. Eric Burgess and Franklin Doyle scored 21 points each for the Pumas. Emmanuel Jones scored 20 points and Brian Bohanon had 13 for the Lycans.

Stillwater 78, Roseville 70: The visiting Ponies built a 13-point halftime lead and held off the Class 4A, No. 9 Raiders in the second half. Sara Scalia led the Ponies with 28 points and Alexis Pratt had 18. Jayda Johnston led the Raiders with 20 points, Kaylee Nelson had 13 and Josie Haug had 10.

Prior Lake 79, Farmington 74: The Lakers overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Tigers. McKenna Hofschild led the Lakers with 38 points. Molly Mogensen led the Tigers with 20 points. Haidyn Pitsch had 13 points and Kate Trachsel had 12 for the Lakers. Peyton Blandin had 14 points, Ellie Clayton had 13 and Paige Kindseth had 11 for the Tigers.

Centennial 62, Maple Grove 55: The Class 4A, No. 7 Cougars built a seven-point lead at halftime and held off the host Crimson in the second half. Taylor McAulay led the Cougars with 15 points. Autumn Milnar led the Crimson with 17 points. Sara Stapleton scored 12 points, Claire Orth 11 and Lexi Matthews 10 for the Cougars. Katrina Theis had 12 points and Jordyn Lamker 10 for the Crimson.

Hill-Murray 58, Edina 53: The Pioneers took a nine-point lead into halftime and held off the visiting Hornets. Delaney Runyon led the Pioneers with 17 points. Olivia Coughlin led all scorers with 30 points and Macy Nilsen had 14 for the Hornets. Grace Prokosch had 13 points and Bella Hartzel had 11 for the Pioneers.

St. Anthony 55, St. Agnes 52: The Huskies overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat the host Aggies. Anica Thomas scored 15 points to lead the Huskies and Samantha Sibbet had 13. K'Lynn Lewis scored 20 points to lead the Aggies.

St. Michael-Albertville 66, Rogers 56: Vanessa Alexander had 14 points and nine rebounds to lead the Class 4A, No. 5 Knights past the visiting Royals. Ellie Buzzelle led the Royals with 21 points and Emily Rubbelke had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Whitney Dold had 14 points, Mackenzie Kramer 12 and Kendal Cox 11 for the Knights.

Blake 54, St. Paul Academy 42: Rachel Winkey scored 16 points to lead the Bears past the visiting Spartans. Morgan Phillips had 13 points and Cate Moe had 10 for the Bears. Izzy Denny led the Spartans with 13 points and Audrey Egly had 10.

Mayer Lutheran 70, Tri-City United 67: The Crusaders took a 10-point lead into halftime, but had to hold off a rally from the Titans in the second half. Mya Chmielewski led the Crusaders with 24 points. Caitlin Jindra and Maggie Trnka led the Titans with 13 points each. Symone Jopp had 17 points and Maddy Hucky had 10 for the Crusaders. Maddie Dull had 12 points, Mattie Hellerud had 11 and Gabby Robinson had 10 for the Titans.

Monticello 45, Princeton 40: Anna Olson scored 22 points to lead the Magic past the visiting Tigers. Madyson Shafer led the Tigers with 13 points and Gabrielle Bekius had 10.

New London-Spicer 58, Glencoe-Silver Lake 51: Shea Oman and Mackenzie Rich scored 18 points each to lead the Wildcats past the host Panthers. Emma Hanson added 13 points for the Wildcats. McKenna Monahan led the Panthers with 19 points and Miah Monahan had 16.
