Lakeville North rallied from a 16-point deficit in the second half before pulling away from Class 4A, No. 3 Eastview in overtime for a 72-67 win at home Tuesday. The Class 4A, No. 5 Panthers scored eight of the first 10 points in overtime before holding off the Lightning.

Temi Carda sent the game to overtime with a basket in the final seconds of regulation to cap an 18-2 run by the Panthers. Carda finished with 18 points.

Allie Pickrain, who finished with 12 points, made a three-point shot with 13.7 seconds left in overtime to get the Lightning within three points, but Caitlyn Petersen made a pair of free throws to seal the victory.

Petersen finished with a game-high 25 points, and Olivia Bruce had 10 for the Panthers.

Rachel Ranke led the Lightning with 19 points. Megan Walstad had 15 points and Andrea Abrams 10 for the Lightning.

Farmington 67, Apple Valley 62: The Tigers overcame a four-point halftime deficit to upset the visiting Class 4A, No. 6 Eagles. Sydney Blandin led all scorers with 18 points for the Tigers. Molly Mogensen had 17 points, Ellie Clayton had 13 and Kaitlin Winston had 11 for the Tigers. Lyndsey Robson led the Eagles with 16 points. Brynne Rolland had 12 points and Megan Baer had 10 for the Eagles.

Boys' basketball

Armstrong 70, Centennial 68 (OT): Race Thompson scored his 1,000th career point to lead the Falcons past the visiting Cougars. He finished the game with 23. Davonte Saeed-El scored 16 points and Isaiah Rollins had 12 for the Falcons. Josh McGreal scored 26 points to lead the Cougars. Ariq Eason had 13 points, Keatan Kuznia had 11 and Shane Taleen had 10 for the Cougars.

Wayzata 66, Rogers 62: The Class 4A, No. 5 Trojans overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat the host Royals. Jacob Beeninga and Gavin Baumgartner had 19 points each to lead the Trojans and Alex Jensen had 10. Mitch Spilles led the Royals with 21 points. Jordan Belka had 20 points, and Matt Carik had 10 for the Royals.

Boys' hockey

St. Michael-Albertville 5, St. Cloud 4: The Class 2A, No. 19 Knights scored three unanswered goals to defeat St. Cloud in the quarterfinal round of the Section 8 playoffs. Blake Spetz scored two goals in the third period, including the game-winning goal on a power play with 1:18 left. Jordan Drobinski scored two goals for the Knights, but Max Helgestad got the comeback started for the Knights with 2:21 left in the second period. Tyler Lunderby scored three goals and Soren Falloon stopped 27 shots for St. Cloud.

East Ridge 3, Apple Valley 1: The Raptors scored three unanswered goals to defeat the host Eagles in the first round of the Class 2A, Section 3 playoffs. Sam Gerst got the Raptors on the board late in the first period on a power play. Gabe Urbanz put the Raptors ahead midway through the second period and Joseph Dokken scored an insurance goal early in the third. Branden Penz scored for the Eagles 5:32 into the game.
