Edina took down another of the metro area's top teams in boys' basketball on Tuesday, defeating Apple Valley 71-66.
Apple Valley is No. 1 in Class 4A. Edina beat Cretin-Derham Hall, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, on Thursday.
Edina spread the scoring around as four players scored in double digits. Anders Nelson led the group with 20. Charlie Fischer and Jack Middleton both scored 14.
Tre Jones led the Eagles with 40 points.
Delano 84, St. Paul Central 70: Keegan O'Neill scored a game-high 35 points to lead the Tigers past the Minutemen. Calvin Wishart scored 32 and leads the metro area with an average of 35.8 points per game. Daevonte Davis had 24 to lead Central.
Eden Prairie 71, Minnehaha Academy 48: The Eagles, ranked No. 8 in Class 4A, ended the Redhawks' unbeaten run. Last week Minnehaha Academy, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, had wins over No. 3, Class 4A Park Center and No. 1, Class 4A Apple Valley.
Girls' basketball
Eastview 62, Lakeville North 59: Lauren Jensen banked in a three-pointer for the Panthers to force overtime in a matchup of highly ranked teams in Class 4A. Megan Walstad finished with a game-high 16 points to lead the Lightning, No. 2 in Class 4A. Emma Carpenter and Mariah Alipate both scored 14. Ke James scored 15 to lead the Panthers, No. 4 in 4A.
Hopkins 95, Cooper 68: Paige Bueckers scored 20 points to lead the Royals, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, past the Hawks. Raena Suggs added 17 points. Kierra Wheeler scored 19 points for Cooper.
Stillwater 69, Woodbury 56: Sara Scalia scored a school-record 37 points to lead the Ponies past the Royals. Alexis Pratt had 22 points. Rachel Hakes led the Royals with 22 points.
Boys' hockey
Eagan 4, Eastview 3: The Wildcats and Lightning matched each other goal for goal in the first two periods. Midway through the third, Drew Wilson scored for Eagan, his second goal of the game.
Farmington 4, Shakopee 3 (OT): Josh Ask scored the winning goal for the Tigers less than three minutes into overtime. Mason Enright scored a goal and had two assists for Farmington. Ben Tischleder had a goal and an assist for the Sabres.
Buffalo 15, Cambridge-Isanti 3: The Bison were led by Jake Braccini, Ben Klein and Treyton Welch, each with a hat trick. They combined for 16 points. Keegan Johnson had two assists for the Wildcats.
Girls' hockey
Blake 3, Benilde-St. Margaret's 2 (OT): Madeline Wethington's power-play goal clinched the win for the Bears, ranked No. 2 in Class 2A. Blake remains undefeated at 11-0-1. Sara McClanahan had a goal and two assists to lead the Bears, including an assist on Wethington's goal.
South St. Paul 9, Hastings 2: Mackenna Emery and Ella Reynolds both achieved hat tricks to lead the Packers past the Raiders. Brynn Sexauer added two more goals.

Coaching milestone: Bloomington Jefferson boys' hockey coach Jeff Lindquist reached 600 career victories with the Jaguars' 8-0 victory over Hastings on Saturday. Lindquist, who has also coached at Red Lake Falls, Devils Lake (N.D.), Fargo South (N.D.) and Blake, took a career record of 600-311-42 into the Jaguars' game against East Ridge on Tuesday. Jefferson won 3-2.
