After two fortunate bounces, the No. 2 Trojans are headed back to the state tournament for the ninth time in the past 11 years, upending the No. 1 Millers with a 2-1 victory Tuesday night.

Midway through the second half, Trojans' senior Sophie Triplett won a one-on-one battle near midfield and carried the ball upfield before delivering a well-placed touch pass across the field to Emily Dillon. She slipped the shot past the charging Millers' goalkeeper.

Less than five minutes later, Trojans junior Eva Bruer took advantage of a failed clearing attempt by the Millers' defense and launched a shot into the far top corner for a 2-0 Trojans lead with 18 minutes to play.
