A 79-year-old Brooklyn Park woman has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Brooklyn Park Cub Foods store earlier this month.

Renee Fellman died of head injuries at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale two days after being hit Sept. 16 in the lot at 7555 W. Broadway, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner.

The driver of the vehicle that hit her stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, and no charges will be filed, according to Brooklyn Park police.

More recently, at least two people died in crashes on Minnesota roads this past week, the State Patrol said.

Brad W. Patton, 61, of Albia, Iowa, was killed Thursday night when his semitrailer truck left eastbound Interstate 94 in Stearns County and crashed in the center median. Patton was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.

On Wednesday, Gloria Mae Larson, 87, of Wadena, was killed when the driver of the SUV she was in, Roland H. Larson, 92, ran a stop sign at Hwy. 210 and County Road 73 in Otter Tail County. Adrianne Kashale, 28, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was westbound on Hwy. 210 and hit the SUV as it entered the intersection on southbound County Road 73.

Kashale, her passenger and Roland Larson all suffered noncritical injuries. All were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
