The 9-year-old Southern Californian, above, caught this northern last Friday. Avery was fishing with her brother and grandparents. The group was visiting Minnesota relatives. Greg Erickson of Garrison Sports, who piloted the excursion, helps showcase her catch.
ALL ABOUT THAT BASS
Paul Peter Paulos, of St. Paul, caught this bass on Marine Lake in Washington County. He caught the approximately 8-pound bass from his canoe using a small, 1/8-ounce spinner bait.
A LINDY AND A LEECH
Connor Radtke, of Lester Prairie, caught this 27-inch walleye on Lake Mille Lacs during Memorial Day weekend. He used a Lindy rig and a leech while fishing with his father and grandfather.
