Low on cash and inspiration for Halloween? Head to the web for ideas for do-it-yourselfers thatcost nextto nothing. Some of theideas seem lame at first.Like this one from the Everyday Cheapskate called "Static Cling."

"Wear anything in a solid color, all white or all black. With safety pins, attach stuff to yourself, such as mismatched socks, underwear and dryer sheets. Spray your hair straight up into the air, and you're good to go."

It might be funny at a meeting of PTA moms, butthis is strictly forlaundry room burnouts. Moms and dads, don'tmake your kidwear "Static Cling" unlesshe or she'sbeen an ungrateful snot all week.

Here are a few sites to checkout.

1. Howstuffworks . The mostsearchedmake-it-yourself costumes include owl, horse, ghost, pig, zombie, donkey, elephant, vampire, turkey and Pilgrim.

2. Homemade Halloween Costumes . It appears that the Everyday CheapskateborroweditsStatic Cling costume from this site or vice versa. The site also gives you ideas for a clown, scarecrow, Japanese doll, soda pop can, Quasimodo, pirate, crash-test dummy andtrain engineer.

3. Budget 101 .Choose from multiple costume ideas on angels/princesses (11choices), animals/insects (32), generic athletes (9), food (19), and funny/witty (13).Feel like being "spaghetti and meatballs" this year? Look under "food." Feeling like a human leaf blower? Check under "funny/witty."
